For a very long time I’ve wanted to put together a collection of images based around a central theme. Call it an exhibition, an art show or something else. It’s something I’ve been slowly working towards and I think 2017 is the time to make that a reality.
The idea behind the exhibition stems from this quote
“… is it more than what it seems, or are we just man made islands amongst human seas…”
The concept of capturing, on film, the feeling of being all alone despite the world carrying on around you is something I was keen to achieve. And thus Man Made Islands was born.
I’ve been a fan of Gregory Crewdson for a long time and I think when you see the type of images I’m creating you will definitely see the influence he has had on me.
